Helldivers 2 Core Premise
Helldivers 2, a sequel to Helldivers (2015), takes place in a satirical, futuristic world where humanity is ruled by the “managed democracy” of Super Earth. The game is taking place approximately 100 years after the events of its prequel.
In the game, you take on the role of Helldivers, an expendable group of elite soldiers who fight to protect humanity from various enemy factions. Unlike the original game, Helldivers 2 is a tactical shooter presented from a third-person perspective, with missions focused on cooperative gameplay between four players.
